Sheriff's deputies have seen a quiet month, apart from July 21. The following information was supplied by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Marina del Rey station.
Only one other crime, a theft, was reported within the patrol area of the since July 7.

A $1,300 road bike was stolen from a parking garage July 22 after a thief cut through the lock with bolt cutters, according to a deputy’s report.
The bike, an 18-speed specialized Tarmac Elite, had been locked up in a parking garage.

Security guards at the building told the bike’s owner that another bicycle was stolen around the same time, the report states.
No security cameras exist in the parking garage, the bicycle’s owner reported. He also said the garage’s automatic gate stays open for several seconds after entry or exit.
No witnesses or suspects have been identified.
