BOAT BURGLARY
A surround-sound system worth $4,800 and a flat-screen television were stolen from a 60-foot boat docked in the marina, according to a sheriff deputy's report.

The theft occurred March 8 after someone cut a hole through a chain-link fence and entered the white Sandkeeper through a bow hatch, the report said. A Bose audio system was taken along with a Sharp 27-inch flat-screen television.
A worker who went to the boat about 10 a.m. found a rear door open and also noticed the front hatch was open, the report said.

No arrest was made.
JEWELRY HEIST
More than $15,000 in jewelry was stolen from a home and the victim believes his daughter's boyfriend played a role, according to a sheriff deputy's report.
The victim said his wife's $4,500 wedding ring, his father's $500 wedding ring, a $2,500 yellow men's ring with a slot machine decoration on it and a $5,500 diamond-encrusted Rolex watch were among the nine items taken from his bedroom.
There were no signs of forced entry and the victim said he found a pawn shop receipt on the floor.
The man told deputies that he kicked his daughter out of the house after a verbal argument about the boyfriend. The man said he believes the boyfriend put her up to steal the jewelry before she left.
No arrest was made.
STOLEN GUN STOLEN
A stolen gun was stolen after someone broke into a home and ransacked the place, according to a sheriff deputy's report.
A woman told deputies that her daugher left their home at 10 a.m. and all the doors and windows were locked. The woman went to the house at 4 p.m. and found that it had been ransacked and her husband's 9-year-old black Taurus 9 mm semiautomatic handgun worth $400 had been stolen, the report said.
Seven window screens had been removed and glass from a back door was shattered, the report said. Entry into the home apparently was made through the back door.
The 9 mm gun was listed in a sheriff's database as a stolen weapon and it was re-entered as stolen again.
No arrest was made.
PARKING PROBLEM
A vandal scratched a vehicle and left an ugly message across a woman's driver's side rear door after she double-parked in a parking structure, according to a sheriff deputy's report.
The woman reported that someone left scratches on her vehicle between March 15 and March 16 and also used a permanent marker pen to write, "Really??? Nice parking job (F-----)."
There were two 1/2-inch scratches on the vehicle's driver-side doors, the report said.
The woman told deputies that she had double-parked in the structure.
No arrest was made.
