Streets surrounding apartment complex were shut down.
Police attempted to take a parolee-at-large into custody on Tuesday evening at an apartment building on Glencoe Avenue and Washington Boulevard, but the man’s escape prompted a helicopter search throughout the night, according to Venice311.
The Los Angeles Police Department established a perimeter around the apartment complex and blocked off surrounding streets. Some residents were not able to return home until about 2 a.m. The suspect, who jumped off a balcony to evade police, is still at-large.
