Police Report: Fewer Crimes in April

Statistics on violent and property crime provided by the Sheriff's Department.

 

After a significant spike in burglaries in March, there was only one in April, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Overall, there were fewer crimes committed in April compared to the two months prior. Every type of crime, with the exception of grand theft auto, saw a decline, according to data compiled by the sheriff's department.

Please note these statistics only reflect those crimes reported to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Marina del Rey station, which covers the harbor, the land immediately surrounding the harbor and a small island of territory about one mile inland.
