A magnitude-3.2 earthquake struck near Marina Del Rey tonight and was felt as far as away as Hollywood, but no injuries or damage were immediately reported.

The quake, centered about one mile east-southeast of Marina Del Rey, struck at 8:16 p.m. at a depth of 6.2 miles, according to preliminary data from the U.S. Geological Survey.

There were no immediate reports of injury or damage, but crews were conducting a routine post-quake assessment, said Michael Pittman, dispatch supervisor with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

A deputy at the sheriff's Marina Del Rey Station said he felt a mild tremor that lasted a second or two.

Yes, I felt it. I live in Torrance about 18 miles away. I was in the kitchen heat up my dinner, and all sudden I heard a big loud noise " bamm" and the wall made twisting sounds. I opened the door, my dog came to me and looks nervous. Then my dog followed me everywhere around the house.

Yes, it was a strong jolt in Hermosa Beach, near where E&B wants to start drilling for oil. E&B doesn't care if an oil pipeline is in a fault line and could cause a major oil spill in the Santa Monica Bay.

Stop fracking in cities. Vote out dems AND reps. They both supported a very pro fracking bill and both are corporate money sucking scumbag puppets, especially at election time.

seemed like 4-5.0! loud bang, huge rocking left to right, was at a hotel bar on Sta Monica beach, thought all the bar glasses were going to crash and fall off the counters, it was scary!
