Ask Mayor-Elect Garcetti Anything Tonight on Reddit

Los Angeles' next mayor will take questions online beginning at 7 p.m.

Mayor-elect Eric Garcetti will bring his citywide "listening tour" to the Internet-savvy set today with a town hall on the online forum reddit.com.

Garcetti is hoping to take suggestions about what he ought to do as mayor in an "ask me anything," or AMA, conversation thread.

"I did an AMA during the campaign—this time, we're doing things a little bit differently. Instead of Q/A, please share your ideas on how to create jobs and solve problems in L.A.," he wrote on the website.

The hour-long AMA will begin at 7 p.m., and a link will be announced today. However, comments have already begun pouring in under Garcetti's reddit post announcing the event, with people pushing for bike-friendly measures, tax incentives to rein in "runaway film production" and more protections for jobs at the ports, where automation has become more popular.
