Opportunity for 13.1 Marathon Traffic Impact Concerns

The 13.1® half-mile marathon will be taking place on January 16th, 2011. It will run a course along Ocean Front Walk, down Venice Boulevard, and then turn around on La Cienega Boulevard and conclude on Windward Circle.

The race organizer and sponsor claims that the event will conclude no later than 10 a.m., at which time Venice Boulevard will completely reopen.

The public will have an opportunity to voice any concerns about this race at the Board of Public Works meeting being held January 3rd, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. at City Hall (200 N Spring Street, room 350). The Board of Public Works has the ultimate authority to issue race permits.

Attached is a route map from the event organizer.
