The on Friday will celebrate the new 2012-2013 board chairman Tony Palermo, owner of .
The role as chairman is volunteer, and Palermo was nominated for his commitment to the community, including mentoring young local chefs and donating to local schools and events.
He was formerly the chair of the Los Angeles chapter of the California Restaurant Association.
The event will be held at the with a Motown-themed evening. In addition to Palermo’s instatement, the chamber will also present Bev Moore, executive director of the Marina del Rey Convention & Visitors Bureau, with the title of chamber honorary mayor.
