Marina del Rey Summer Concert Series Announced

This year's series aims to please a variety of musical palates.

Summer is fast approaching, and in honor of the occasion, the County of Los Angeles Beach Commission has announced this year’s Marina del Rey Summer Concert Series.

The lineup for this year features a variety of music with the aim of offering something for everyone.

“I think we have a good mix for our concerts,” said Carol Baker, a spokeswoman for the Department of Beaches and Harbors. “We think that’s going to be very popular this year.”

She gave a report on the summer series at yesterday's County of Los Angeles Beach Commission meeting.

The range of artists performing include Shelby Lynne, Arturo Sandoval, Ambrosia and Evelyn “Champagne” King. Those performers are all part of the “Pop Saturdays” series which is scheduled to begin on July 21.

As part of “Symphonic Thursdays,” the Marina Del Rey Summer Symphony will kick off its performances with “A Night at the Opera” on July 12 followed by other performances that will include violinist Lindsay Deutsch and Christina and Michelle Naughton on piano.

Rich Capparela, the narrator in “Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra,” is also scheduled to appear on July 26.

Thank Glenn E. Grab for taking the time to send an answer. I agree with you, it would be blue IRead More think. I would like to hear from someone who has the same problem, there are hundreds of boats with this spray. Now having said this, we have now come up with a more rational reason. It's the pollen, not bee pollen, but tree pollen. Makes sense as it does only happen once a year. Searching for answers, this makes a little better sense.
