Predict Who Will Win the 2012 Presidential Election: Obama or Romney?

Now that the Democratic and Republican delegates have officially chosen their nominees at their Conventions, Patch wants to know: Who are you betting on?

It's official: With President Barack Obama's acceptance speech in Charlotte Thursday night, both the Republicans and Democrats have formally chosen their nominees for the 2012 presidential election. Let the real race begin.

A lot can change between now and Nov. 6: gaffes, scandals or even major international news events could shift the dynamics of the campaign.

The latest Gallup Polls show registered voters preferring Obama to Mitt Romney by just one percentage point, 47 percent to 46 percent. A USA Today/Gallup poll taken just before the party conventions found American voters think Obama is more likeable, but trust Romney more to handle the economy.

Pundits have been busy for months handicapping the major-party candidates on various factors: incumbent advantage, fundraising clout, even religion.

Patch wants to know: Regardless of who you support for President, who do you think will actually claim victory in November?

Vote in our poll below, and let us know your reasoning in the comments.

Mitt Romney does not really 'stand' for anything on his own two feet. If the Republicans would just stop and accept that President Obama is the man they must work with (rather they like it or not) instead of stopping progress to wait until (lol) "he is removed from office" (lol) while whining and pouting in th corner... President Obama could accomplish so much more greatness. No, he isn't magic. President Obama just has the RESPECT of the American People to the point where if he asked us to step forward in some way, we would. I wouldn't follow Mitt Romney to 7-11 if his aid wasn't with him to tell him how to get there. Bottom line, Mitt Romney is a Puppet Man... with many strings being pulled by too many different different people.

Winning elections is largely about trust and likability. Mr. Romney falls short in both respects. He loses trust by hiding years of his tax returns. He loses likability by trying to be something which he is clearly not: the common man.

I believe that even if we all voted for Mr. Rommey, the the monsters of Obama camp will steal the election by voter fraud or count fraud . We are doomed. We have lost our beautiful country 's rights by the lack of keeping control of our government officials. May God bless us and keep us safe from this Obama holocaust we are about to recieve.

16 trillion and counting . We have to pass it to find out what's in it". Time for parties and no time for jobs council or Intel Briefings. More time at golf - that in Intel briefings. At parties while our Embassies are being stormed. Endangering the lives of our troops for football spiking. Patronizing illegals just to get more votes. Fast and Furious - nuff said. Solyndra - TARP, etc highest unemployment in decades. Skyrocketing fuel costs. Failure to stand with our Allies. NO CONTEST - EPIC FAIL--Go Home and leave the place clean when you vacate. Your "Change" SUCKS !!!

Odd - When I found this poll - it was 3 votes Obama - 1 for Romney. I voted in the poll and the numbers haven't changed? Still only 4 votes? Glitch anyone?

Absolutely voting for the Romney/Ryan ticket! In less than 4 years, President Obama has done more damage to this country than anyone that's held the office before him, even Jimmy Carter! And that's saying a lot. Just look at how the present crisis in the Middle East is being handled, not well! It would have been nice if President Obama would have gone back to Washington and done the job we elected him to do, instead choosing to stay out on the campaign trail. Wake up America! We need a president who will lead from a position of strength, with the financial experience to get our economy back on track.

Wow...it comes down to economic growth vs. more nongrowth and redistribution of wealth. Amazing...Obama hasn't gone to a jobs council meeting or security council lmeeting and doesn't make a move with Valerie Jarrett....Romney is self made success...and Romney's a puppet? lib logic?

Agree. None of the media is talking about the hundreds of millions of rounds of ammo recently purchased by the DHS.
