Pepperdine University Presents A Panel On Mental Health Recovery

Pepperdine University Graduate School of Education and Psychology welcomes panel to discuss mental health recovery.

While numerous mental health treatments exist today, the prospect of “recovery” from a serious mental health illness is still debated. Some claim that persistent mental illness can only be managed and that the possibility for recovery is bleak. Our panelists will promote the concept of mental health recovery, provide first-hand accounts of recovery, and describe the components that make recovery possible.

Panelists for the night include Keris Myrick, President and CEO of Project Return Peer Support Network, Sarah Jakle, Mental Health Advocate, and Sanjeet Sihota, NAMI Peer to Peer Mentor. Dr. Dennis Lowe, Professor of Psychology at Pepperdine University will be the moderator for the panel.
