Marina del Rey Resident To Receive Cal State Award

She is one of 11 alumni to receive the award.

Pamela Wiley-Wells, a Marina del Rey resident and Cal State University Los Angeles alumna, will receive an award from the university for her work as the president of the Los Angeles Speech and Language Therapy Center.

Wiley-Wells and 10 others will be honored at the 38th annual CSULA Alumni Awards Gala on Oct. 11.

Some of the other award recipients include Pulitzer Prize-winning photographer Olga Shalygin Orloff, who was the Associated Press picture editor in Moscow, Russia and was part of the 1992 team that covered the fall of communism.

The reception will be held Oct. 11 (5:30 p.m. VIP reception; 6:30 p.m. dinner program; 7: 30 p.m. awards presentation) at the Luckman Fine Arts Complex on the CSULA campus. The University is located at the Eastern Avenue exit, San Bernardino (I-10) Freeway, at the interchange of 10 and 710 freeways. Public permit dispenser parking is available in Lot 7 or upper level Parking Structure C.
