Once a 14,000 acre stretch of wetland that reached from Culver City to Pico Boulevard in Santa Monica, only 72 acres of the Ballona Wetlands survive in Marina del Rey.

Join the Friends of Ballona Wetlands to learn about wetland ecology as you help restore the Ballona Wetlands by planting native species and removing invasive plants.

Park on the south side of Jefferson Blvd. along side the Marsh, just west of Lincoln. Meet at the Freshwater Marsh sign. Please call (310) 306-5994 for directions.
