St. Bernard Football Third in CIF Poll
The Vikings move up two places in the Northwest Divison rankings.
After improving to 5-0 last Friday, the St. Bernard High football team surged from fifth to third in this week's CIF Southern Section Northwest Division Top 10 rankings, which were released Monday.
St. Bernard (5-0) has already won two more games than it did last season. The Vikings once again staged a second-half rally to beat Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Montebello 27-24 in their Del Rey League opener last Friday night. First-year head coach Larry Muno's squad overcame a 21-6 halftime deficit to outscore the Cardinals 21-3 over the final two quarters.
