Take a Kid Golfing for $1 at L.A. County Golf Courses
For the month of July, anyone under 18 can golf for only $1 at any Los Angeles County public golf course with a paid adult.
July is the Los Angeles County Junior Golf Program's Junior Golfers Appreciation Month, and in honor of the occasion, all 19 Los Angeles County golf courses—including a few within driving distance of Marina del Rey—are offering junior golfers the opportunity to play golf for $1, according to a flier sent out by Supervisor Don Knabe.
To qualify for the special fee, the golfer must be 18 years of age or under and be accompanied by someone paying a regular adult fee, senior fee, twilight fee or super-twilight fee. The $1 rate is available after noon every day of the week.
The closest county-run course to Marina del Rey is the Maggie Hathaway Par-3 course at 9637 South Western Avenue, Los Angeles.
Chester Washington Golf Course at 1930 West 120th Street, Los Angeles is also within driving distance of Marina del Rey.
