Marina Del Rey WaterBus Service Begins Friday

The Marina del Rey Water Bus taxi begins its summer schedule tonight.

The popular Marina del Rey WaterBus will begin summer weekend service Friday evening starting at 5 p.m.

The WaterBus, which ferries passengers to eight different locations in the marina, will run on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays until Sept 2.

According to the WaterBus website, the ferry offers riders an affordable way to explore the shops, restaurants and attractions of Marina del Rey while enjoying a ride through the marina.

Tickets for the WaterBus can be purchased at each dock stop along the route and sell for $1 each way. Season passes can also be purchased for $30.

Stops along the ferry's route include:

  • Fisherman's Village
  • Burton Chace Park
  • Waterfront Walk / Fire Station #110
  • Marina Beach
  • Dolphin Marina
  • Esprit 1
  • Del Rey Landing
Hours of operation until Sept. 2 are:
  • Fridays | 5 p.m. - Midnight
  • Saturdays | 11 a.m. - Midnight
  • Sundays | 11 a.m. - 9 p.m.
The WaterBus will also run special hours on July 4 and Labor Day in September.
