Living in Marina del Rey has its perks this time of year: it puts you close to Oscar events and viewing parties happening throughout the city. In celebration of this Sunday’s 85th Annual Academy Awards, Today Marina del Rey has selected a few of L.A.’s most glamorous and cool cinematic experiences you can take part in this weekend. (Just be forewarned, some of these parties come with a pretty hefty price tag.)
1. California Yacht Club
Although most Oscar parties are held in Hollywood (obviously), there is one fun event being hosted by the California Yacht Club in Marina del Rey. If you are a member then you can join them on the water for a luxurious Academy Award viewing party with special drinks at the main bar. Admission to the event is included in membership fees.
