Here in Marina del Rey, we can literally only dream of a White Christmas. But just because we have an absence of snow doesn’t mean we can’t get into the holiday spirit. As the final countdown towards Dec. 25 officially begins this week, we decided to bring you a full update on all of the holiday festivities, social gatherings and dinners happening in and around Marina del Rey over the next week.  We wish you all a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Joyous Kwanzaa and an all-around Happy Holiday!

HOLIDAY EVENTS

Holiday Dinner Cruise – Dec. 19, 22, 23 and 29

It wouldn’t be the holidays without a ceremonious 3-hour cruise around the marina. Hornblower will be hosting its annual holiday dinner cruise with a lavish 4-course dinner, boarding glass of champagne, complimentary soft drinks, teas and coffee, cash bar, festive decor and DJ/dancing on four upcoming nights: Dec. 19, 22, 23, and 29. Boarding starts at 6:30 p.m., with cruising starting at 7 p.m.-10 p.m. The cost is $82 per adult/$49.20 ages 4-12 yrs. Reservations are required. Call (310) 301-6000.

Holiday Entertainment at Waterside Shopping Center – Dec. 22

Keep the kids entertained while they’re off from school at Waterside Shopping Center with live holiday entertainment by the water fountain. Bring the whole family for directed sing-a-longs, puppet shows, Christmas comedy, special appearances and the spirit of the season. Festivities start at noon. Beach Winter Wonderland at Dockweiler Youth Center – Dec. 22

Let it sand, let it sand? The song doesn’t quite have the same ring to it without snow, but try telling that to the kids at Dockweiler Youth Center.  They will be turning sand into snow on Saturday, Dec. 22 during their free holiday event between 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. They’ve got arts & crafts, bouncers and all kinds of fun activities to bring your kids down from their candy cane sugar high. CHRISTMAS EVE DINING OPTIONS – Dec. 24

jer-ne restaurant + bar at The Ritz-Carlton

True holiday luxury awaits at jer-ne restaurant + bar, situated along the water in The Ritz-Carlton, Marina del Rey. Christmas Eve Dinner service is from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m., which includes a 4-course dinner, festive decor and house music. The prices are $85 per adult/$42.50 ages 12 & under.
