Motorcycle 'Ride To the Dunes' To Raise Awareness About Child Abuse

Ride to the Dunes rides from Marina Del Rey to Malibu Sunday and will be led by actor Lorenzo Lamas.

Actor Lorenzo Lamas will lead community members on a motorcycle ride from Marina Del Rey to Malibu on Sunday to raise awareness about child abuse.

The ride, known as "Ride to the Dunes," will begin at Bartels' Harley Davidson on Lincoln Boulevard in Marina Del Rey and make its way up the coast to Sycamore Cove State Beach.

"As parents and everyday citizens, we owe it to ourselves to support kids however we can," Lamas told Motorcycle USA. "The organizations we are recognizing at this event are some of many legitimate organizations seeking to raise awareness of child abuse and I call on every rider in Southern California to come out and ride to support the cause."

Registration for Sunday's ride begins at 8:30 a.m. with the ride starting at 10 a.m. Bartels' Harley-Davidson, where the ride will begin, is located at 4141 Lincoln Boulevard in Marina Del Rey.

The Ride to the Dunes event is now in its second year, with last year's event also starting in Marina Del Rey.
