Pet of the Week: Help Sepia End Bad Luck String

Our Pet of the Week is Sepia, a 3-year-old Labrador mix who has had a string of bad luck and needs a new home.

Sepia is a beautiful Labrador mix in need of a home. She’s 3-years-old, weighs about 50 pounds, and is spayed, housetrained, up-to-date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats, too.

Sweet Sepia has had a string of bad luck. Sepia has been tossed from home to home, and ended up homeless in the streets of South LA. A good Samaritan coaxed Sepia away from a group of homeless dogs and brought her to us.

We have discovered that she has severe hip dysplasia in both hips, so surgery has been scheduled to address her condition. Though she has probably been experiencing pain for a long time, Sepia is still playful with both people and other dogs.

Sepia is a true stunner with a beautiful chestnut coat, and a gem with her sweet personality. Forte Animal Rescue will cover Sepia's surgical expenses, though we are desperately seeking monetary donations to cover the costs, as well as a foster who will provide a home during her recovery. It is time to end her bad luck and show her that life is full of love and kindness, and that she truly matters.

Forte Animal Rescue is a 100 percent volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, seeking solutions for pet overpopulation, as well as working together with the community to cultivate the human animal bond through educational programs and activities.

In addition to ongoing boarding and other expenses, Forte Animal Rescue continually incurs significant veterinary medical bills, hence any support would be greatly appreciated. Forte Animal Rescue is also looking for foster homes for its rescued dogs, along with volunteers to help its adoption events.
