Sweet Major is Our Featured Pet of the Week

Our Pet of the Week from Forte Animal Resuce is sweet-natured Major.

Major is a very sweet Rhodesian Ridgeback/Pit Bull mix who was recently found foraging for scraps on the side of a bustling Los Angeles freeway. Emaciated, he was eating chicken bones discarded by homeless people who lived up the ramp. Major’s hunger overcame his fear, and one of the homeless people helped his rescuer catch him with some leftover tortilla chips.

Things have gotten much better for this good-natured boy in the past few weeks. Major has all of the best qualities you have ever heard about pit mixes. Now clean and well-fed, he is playful, loving, curious, loyal and lots of fun. One look in his expressive eyes and you’ll know how happy he is to be safe. He will “bump” you with his backside to say hello, and even walks nicely on a leash.

Major is about one year old, and weighs 51 pounds. He already is neutered, microchipped, up to date with his shots, good with kids, and good with other dogs.
