Weekend Beach, Surf and Weather Report

Los Angeles Weather Report:

The National Weather Service predicts the usual Southern California June weather for Saturday – patchy fog before 11 a.m. with skies gradually becoming mostly sunny in the afternoon. Highs will be in the mid to upper 60s with winds at 10 to 15 miles per hour. Overnight lows will stick in the lower 60s. 

Sunday will not see much change with fog and clouds hanging around until the afternoon and gradually clearing to mostly sunny skies. Highs on Sunday will be in the upper 60s with overnight lows in the lower 60s. Winds could gust as high as 15 miles per hour.

Los Angeles Surf Report

A mixed northwest and south swell will bring surf heights in the 1-2 foot range at beaches in Los Angeles County on Saturday, according to the National Weather Service. Water temperatures will hover in the 65-66 degree range with little change in surf conditions on Sunday. 

Los Angeles County Beach Report Card: 

The interactive map is a water quality report for beaches in dry weather from the past 30 days compiled from data courtesy of Heal the Bay, a nonprofit environmental group. Beach grades are based on an A+ to F scale. Grades indicate the likelihood of swimmers becoming ill. Water samples are analyzed for bacteria – enterococcus, total and fecal coliforms. The report does not measure the amount of trash or toxins found at local beaches.
