Los Angeles County Sheriff's Station

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department substation provides police protection to Marina del Rey residents and operates a boat patrol. The station formerly was the Marina del Rey Harbor Patrol, but the Sheriff's Department took over operations in 1984. The substation has a jail and a back dock is home to offshore and close-to-shore patrol boats. The station is also responsible for patrol in three unincorporated areas that stretch for about a mile inland.
