The reports are that last year this same swimmer did a 13 hour swim from Catalina to Trump NationalRead More Golf Course. He said later that it was a swim from Hell. The important point, however, is that as a consequence of the swim he suffered hypothermia and possibly a mild heart attack for which he was hospitalized. Did he have insurance then? He is wearing a wedding ring in some photos. So, can we guess that his spouse also lacks insurance? And,, many reports identify him as a 50 yo, not a 40 yo. There is a lack of information but one would think that this person is avoiding getting insurance. From my POV that is a very foolish base for a person who is an active OW swimmer.

If they truly want to make a difference in water usage they would target the city and stateRead More governments who continue to approve new high density residential building. Every time they approve another new development project they are adding to the drain on water. And, fracking needs to stop. Forcing millions of gallons of water and chemicals under pressure into wells in California is a dangerous travesty. Not only does the process of fracking use water, it contaminates the ground water. Yes there is a drought but it is our city and state government who can make a difference, but they continue to build new housing and frack wells to encourage oil production. It is all about money.

City of Huntington Beach is letting a contractor put in a 276 unit complex on Beach and Ellis Ave.Read More Three story underground parking for over 400 cars. Also included are commercial stalls. Where is the water coming from? Did the dumb bells talk to God and he said o.k. I will supply you with rain water? Next. The city is digging up concrete sidewalks to plant trees. Trees need to be watered twice a week. The truck delivers water for them. But their is a water shortage???? lol lol The idiots have no idea how to run a city. Wait until they try to get re-elected! I could care less about conserving.

Just glad it wasn't held in Hermosa this time... No round drunk soccer fans starting problems..Read More peeing on our houses, cars, alleys, or starting fights with the casual residents trying to go on with their normal daily lives.. Not to mention how loud the game was being televised from the pier.. local buisness owners could not properly hold conversations on their phones, hold meetings, and myself who works from home a block up from the event.. couldn't focus due to the sheer loudness of not only the crowd, but the sound system that was being used.. I am all for our events and bringing buisness to Hermosa. . But this was the loudest most disturbing event to the local resident's and non bar businesses ever! Example... even went to a clients house on 10th and Ardmore.. you could here the sound system word for word that far away from the pier.. a little annoying for those that work and even more for those that live 1 block up!.. Thank you city council for allowing and not monitoring the mehem you brought to us!

Why does he come here so much? I don't think any president in recent memory has been to SouthernRead More California as often as this one, and Reagan doesn't count because he had his ranch out here when he was president. His visits also tie up traffic. Notice his wife also never comes out here with him when he makes his numerous visits.

We have a baad problem here in Hermosa Beach. Powers greater than god are trying to OK drilling 30Read More oil wells and 4 deep toxic water injection wells. While the offshore production will produce plenty of saltwater, injecting it produces earthquakes in places like Oklahoma, it is a certainty to produce earthquakes directly below where the fault stresses are high. Earthquakes will shear wells, blowout, wreck infrastructure, cause fires and explosions for the residents with zero setback. 20 feet from sidewalks children use coming and going to school.
